I know I said I was done with my Neverending Story series, but I felt like doing just one more. This one isn't going up for sale at comic con, though...so I'm sorry for all of you who may have wanted to buy it there....but I might think about selling this one if anyone really wants to talk to me about it.
BUT ANYWAY, AS I WAS SAYING...The Neverending story is such a beautiful book that I just can't keep from coming up with ideas just from reading it. And when I read the description of this character for the first time, and got an idea of what he's actually supposed to look like, I started really 'scratching my head,' as they say, wondering why on earth they decided to make him look the way he did in the movie. If you haven't already guessed, this is Falkor the Luckdragon. In the book he was depicted as vaguely resembling a lion whereas in the movie he COMPLETELY looked like a dog. I wonder why they did that....maybe it was to make him look more "child friendly"....but wouldn't you say he looks friendly here? Look at that big, smiling mouth! Look at it dammit! He's a happy dragon, and he loves you!
Also, I'm sorry about the quality, but this is another huge work that had to be photographed rather than scanned.
When I saw this the first thing I thought was Neverending Story ^o^ eee, I LOVE Falkor...though when I saw the moive, he looked kinda creepy o.O But yesh, I luvvies dis piece! ^_^ *favs*
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
