Scylla used to be a beautiful water nymph, until she was a bitch to Glaucus (Neptune's son), which made the enchantress, Circe, very angry with her. this prompted Circe to create a mysterious mixture of poisonous plants, which she poured into the water where Scylla bathed.
Later on, when Scylla waded out into the water, she had gotten about waist-deep before she noticed that she was surrounded by what seemed to be several giant serpents, and barking monsters. She tried to run away but soon noticed that these horrible things were actually attatched to her.
This situation, as one would expect, left Scylla with a very loathesome temper. Ever since, she's made a habbit out of devouring any hapless sailors that may drift within her reach.
(Greek myth)
--The non-colored version will be posted in my scrapbook, if anyone cares to go take a look at it.--

So cool! I love the dog/wolf heads too. We have a mythology project in my English class and we were each assigned a Greek mythological monster or god, and I got Scylla C:
I don't think I'll be doing the extra credit of dressing up as her, though.

omg! That could be so cool, though! You could get a bunch of your friends to be the dog...tentacle...things. It would be amazing!!
lol! I'm glad you like my little depiction of her. :D

Scylla and Charybdis looked awsome in the 1997 odyssey movie.
